At the heart of PowerPack 500 is the PowerHub 500. Liquid-cooled, advanced power module charging technology designed in Germany for the demands of professional heavy-duty fleet operation. Unlike conventional air-cooled designs, PowerHub 500 is built to charge heavy-duty trucks back-to-back at full power across a wide ambient temperature range delivering reliable, predictable performance across every duty cycle, day and night.

Electrification that makes financial sense.

PowerHub 500

Built to reduce costs from day one, liquid-cooled advanced power module technology delivers efficient charging (with target efficiency of up to 97%), lowering energy consumption while reducing maintenance and replacement costs over time. Designed for more than 10 years of heavy-duty use, with no planned power module replacements.

Shell PowerPack 500

Add PowerOS, PowerCare and Shell Card and the financial case strengthens further. Intelligent CPMS scheduling optimises energy use across every charge point. Phased rollout spreads CAPEX as your fleet grows. One contract covering everything means less admin, fewer suppliers and no hidden costs.

Shell's integrated charging network for heavy-duty fleets

Connect to Shell’s integrated European heavy-duty charging network and unlock the full commercial potential of your infrastructure.

Up to 10% lower TCO versus diesel²

Enabled through Shell’s integrated charging network, shared infrastructure model and revenue generation via Shell Card.

Start small. Scale your fleet.

PowerPack 500 is built around a modular architecture that grows with your operation. Start with two DC outputs and scale up to six from a single power unit. No depot redesign. No infrastructure replacement.

For larger deployments, multiple PowerHub 500 units can be installed side by side. PowerOS manages scheduling and dynamic power sharing across all charge points automatically keeping every vehicle ready for its next duty cycle.

² Potential TCO outcomes are based on Shell’s model for a heavy-duty truck operating 116,000 km/year over 5 years, assuming a semi-public, energy-optimised eDepot with 75% private and 25% on-the-go charging. Estimated savings come from third-party eDepot use, Smart Charging energy cost reductions, and preferential network pricing, based on market references (excluding grid upgrades). Actual results will vary by market, vehicle type, and customer-specific factors such as energy prices, infrastructure costs, utilisation, and location.

Indicative results based on model assumptions

This calculator provides indicative savings estimates for fleets investing in depot charging infrastructure. The model reflects the impact of depot optimisation, smart charging and energy management across Shell’s integrated network.

This scenario assumes a heavy-duty truck operating 116,000 km per year over 5 years, with 75% depot charging and 25% on-the-go charging supported by a semi-public, energy-optimised eDepot. Actual results will vary depending on market conditions and customer-specific factors.
