Shell Card

Unlock a shared fleet charging network

More than a payment card: Shell Card makes your heavy-duty fleet charging simple and seamless. With one card, drivers can access and pay for charging across Shell Recharge public locations, semi-public sites, and private eDepots. For fleet operators, it delivers unified access control, usage visibility and cost management across the entire network. For depot owners, it enables controlled access and an additional revenue stream from available charging capacity.

Invite-only network

Charging access you won’t find on public maps

Invite-only eDepot+ allows fleets to share private infrastructure, granting limited third-party access to pre-approved Shell Card customers. Invite-only eDepot+ locations are not listed on public charging maps and are available to approved Shell Card customers. They are a win-win for both fleets and depot owners. By opening infrastructure to trusted partners such as suppliers or subcontractors, site owners can reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) by turning their charging points into revenue generators, while partner fleets electrify with confidence.

Beyond the Shell Card

Discover the network behind the Shell Card

The Shell Card gives fleet operators access to more than individual charging points. It is connected to Shell’s integrated heavy-duty charging network — combining depot charging, eDepot+, Semipublic, Shell Recharge locations and selected partner infrastructure.

This network is designed around real fleet operations, helping operators use the right charging options for their routes, depots and business needs — all brought together through one card and one connected charging concept.

Where can I find Shell Recharge locations?
Use the Shell Recharge HDV Map to find available heavy-duty fleet charging locations across Europe and beyond.
What does “roaming network” mean?
You can use Shell Card not only at Shell Recharge locations, but also at public charging sites operated by third-party roaming partners – without needing separate contracts or payment setups.
How does the network help fleets operate more efficiently?
The integrated network gives fleets more charging options along their routes, helping them plan with greater certainty and operate more efficiently across different charging environments.
What charging formats are available across the network?
The network supports different charging formats depending on location and operational need. Charge & Go enables fast top-ups, Book & Charge provides ad hoc one-hour booking certainty aligned with driver breaks, and Home-away-from-home supports longer, more frequent bookings for customers who need more predictable bay availability.
As a fleet operator, do I automatically get access to all invite-only eDepot+ locations?
No. Invite-only eDepot+ locations have controlled access. This means access is granted selectively. Shell applies a matchmaking approach to connect fleets with suitable eDepot+ locations based on routes, demand and availability. In addition, depot owners can nominate approved users for access, such as neighbours, suppliers or other existing site users. Once access is enabled, authentication and settlement run via Shell Card.
How can I request invite-only access to an eDepot+ location?

Invite-only access to eDepot+ locations is coordinated by Shell. Share your route and charging needs, and we’ll explore suitable options within the network. Talk to our team.

As a depot owner, do I stay in control of who charges at my site?

Absolutely. Depot owners can define who is allowed to use the site and under what conditions, while Shell supports the automated transaction and settlement process.

Does Shell Card help with eDepot+ settlement and reimbursement payments?

Yes. Through Shell Card, Shell handles settlement and reimbursement for charging expenses between eDepot owners and external users.

Can Shell Card also be used for other fuels or mobility-related expenses?

Depending on the market, Shell Card can also be used for other fuels such as diesel and selected alternative fuels, in addition to charging.

I don’t own charging infrastructure. Can I still get in touch to discuss my fleet’s electrification?

Our experts are ready to support you. If you’re a fleet operator, we can discuss charging access needs and how Shell Card unlocks an expanding network of shared infrastructure. If you are a depot owner, let’s talk about optimising your network and unlocking additional revenue streams. Let’s connect.
