Ingo Hiller and Alexander Bonk emphasized the strong collaboration within the project (“Best for Project”). Senator Bonde and Mr. Falk spoke about the environmental significance of electromobility, while Mr. Falk also addressed the importance of load and charging management, as well as depot operations — with SBRS playing a key role in the former.
A symbolic time capsule was embedded into the foundation stone, containing a bottle of diesel, a daily newspaper, a transit ticket, a detailed site plan, and coins meant to bring good fortune. The capsule was sealed with three ceremonial hammer blows, marking the official start of construction and wishing success for the project.
Following the ceremony, the entire project team came together for a group photo, capturing the spirit of unity and shared purpose.
Discussions with BVG project manager Alexander Bonk and Zech Bau SE planning manager Ronald Wulle already turned to the next milestones: the topping-out ceremony and the official handover.
A truly successful event. Where we come from, we’d say: ‘Glück auf’.
