Who we are
We offer trusted and reliable EV charging solutions for your fleets. We joined the Shell Group in 2022, but our roots stretch back more than 180 years (starting with the Julius Pintsch company, which was founded in 1843). SBRS is a Shell Deutschland GmbH subsidiary, based in Dinslaken, Germany.

How we got here
Our story
Milestones that moved us forward
1843
Our story begins. Julius Pintsch Group – which we used to be a part of – is founded to specialise in railway technology.
1947
Production of energy supply equipment begins at our site in Dinslaken. Our business has changed, but we’re still based at this location.
2011
We develop our first electric bus chargers.
2017
SBRS becomes a stand-alone company, focussing purely on eMobility.
2022
Shell acquires SBRS.
2025
Expanding our EV charging network and offer across Europe, we introduce Shell Business Recharge Solutions (SBRS).
